It’s the excuse that keeps on excusing. They tried to pretend like people were fleeing climate change by coming to the USA. Then Trump apparently fixed the climate when he decided to enforce existing laws. Trump should tell Europe how to fix “climate refugees.” They’ll laugh at him and then realize he was right years later. They’re slow like that. Example: see Germans laughing about Trump telling them not to depend on Russia for natural gas.
