In reply to David Deplorable. The bad guy got shot in the leg, but probably not because the victim aimed for the leg but rather the victim fired while raising the gun. In other words the victim waited too long and wasn't at ready and with the closing bad guy fired while bringing the gun up. That's how the majority of 'leg shot' home invaders get shot in the leg, not that the victim was intending it but rather they weren't at ready and suddenly start raising the gun firing on the way up.

“The poor guy was empty-handed! It should be illegal to use a gun to attack an unarmed person!”
