In reply to jwm. Everyone who actively does something to prepare him(her)self for a possible self defense situation needs to ask, "when and where will l get involved" way before the chance of something happening. Over the years, my criterion for involvement has drastically changed.

Learned that lesson 45 years ago, don’t care to repeat the legal battles again. If you can’t be bothered to defend yourself, don’t expect me to jump in and save you. Family excluded, of course.
