What reds my ass other than a fire about 3 feet high is that these people merely won a popularity contest and in so doing they suddenly, over night, become all knowing relative to what is best for “we the people”. And all the while insult “we the people” with their rhetoric that implies that “we the people” are too ignorant to know right from wrong.

Nah. They use weapons to protect and project their power.
