I hate when that happens.

Variant 1: Close trunk door on rifle/scope in bag prior to transporting to hunt four states away.

Totally negates the 750-mile trip. (CO->ND)

In reply to uncommon_sense. They make bubble levels that clamp onto a pic rail. That way it can stay mounted through the process and you can check it continuously until the scope mounting is complete.

Huh. This is nifty way to mount a scope. I like it.

Where do I find a “level that mounts to a picatinny rail”? Can I use my 10-inch torpedo level simply resting on top of the picatinny rail?
