Someday, I hope the hunters will explain to the non hunting population. Just how important it is to “cull the herd.”

Just as hunter , education is important. Non hunter education is also very important.

There is another significant benefit to hunting, especially big game hunting: it creates a large “force” which already has many of the fundamentals of a militia if it ever becomes necessary.

I am fairly confident that our nation’s several million people–who own centerfire rifles, have ammunition, can shoot reasonably accurately, have camouflage, and are comfortable in the woods–creates nightmares for would-be invasion planners.

Hmm. I tried posting a simple comment and this site returned the dreaded, “Stop posting comments too fast.” That makes absolutely no sense. In case this site discarded my attempted comment, I am posting it again:

A family member joined me hunting recently. We enjoyed the time outdoors and added important meat to our freezer.

If you have never hunted, try accompanying (as an observer) a relative or friend to get a sense of the activity. I am confident that a large percentage of observers will take up the pastime.
