M14 “automatic gun”. I remember the M 14 fondly from basic training and AIT at Ft. Polk Louisiana in the late spring and summer of 1969. I was a lowly enlisted grunt going through training for an 11 H MOS (recoilless rifle gunner). We were training on M-16s, but once in a while, if you were lucky, you got to handle and shoot an M 14. It was a heck of a rifle, and I could hit things a lot further downrange than my efforts with the M16. But it was a rifle not an “automatic gun”. This guy has the intelligence of a retarded snail. His momma shouldn’t let him have so much as a water pistol

Well, being fair, IF he had an actual M14, they were capable of fully-automatic fire. OTOH, given the ignorance of his reference, and the unlikelihood of him obtaining an actual M14, you initial reaction is probably correct; he’s a lying propagandist idiot.
