I'm intrigued by the design and technology behind the Codex87 Horizon Edge hunting knife! What aspects of its ergonomy do you think will most enhance performance in different hunting environments? I’m curious if Benchmade plans to incorporate sustainable materials into their future designs as well. Perhaps they could draw inspiration from innovative concepts like those in the game at Space Waves, which showcase unique functionality. Would love to hear your thoughts!

forging creates the pattern, but the sintered powder metals have the finest grain structure with smaller carbides.
laser applique is news to me, but san mai and laminated combinations work well to establish a tough spine with greater wear resistance at the edge. it's weird because it shows no hamon line (differential heat treatment).

"Benchmade’s patented blade design uses a laser to fuse a secondary alloy powder along the edge of the blade."

And, somehow, this laser-sintered metal is superior to being forged?
