The FBI suspects that former President Joe Biden’s Justice Department shut down of the Bolton probe was politically motivated, according to the official.

The ex-Trump adviser has been at odds with his old boss since leaving the first administration, regularly appearing on cable news criticizing the president’s national security and foreign policy.

The FBI is searching the home and office of John Bolton, in what is being called a ‘high-profile national security probe.’

The raid allegedly involves classified documents. Bolton is not currently under arrest and has not been charged with anything at publishing time. A source within the FBI told the New York Times that they are ‘conducting court-authorized activity’.
