The best shotgun is the one in your closet. Clean it. Make sure it fits you properly and confirm the pattern on a pattern plate. Go shoot some rounds of skeet or sporting clays. Improved cylinder, light modified, or modified choke will work just fine. Buy 1 oz number 7.5 or 8 shot 1200 fps loads. Bring a cooler with with ice. Drink plenty of water. Wear a hat. Take a kid with you and teach him/her how to bird hunt. Dove tacos are the best.
