As I stated above this false, 100% false. But the reason its false is because this is what the grandmother actually said in general comments in a daily mail interview, it was picked up by the dailybeast and reprinted:

she said Tyler comes from a republican and Trump supporter family [note: this is true, he does come from a republican Trump supporter family but he, himself, is not republican and is left wing]

Then she also said that her son, Tylers dad, was republican and a Trump supporter [note: this is also true. The father is a republican and Trump supporter]

she said in the interview …“My son, his dad, is a Republican for Trump,” Debbie told the outlet. “Most of my family members are Republican. I don’t know any single one who’s a Democrat.” [note: this is true, as most of the family members are republican. She did not say ALL family members are republican. Tyler was not registered for either party, contrary to the false information on line saying he was a registered republican. She never claimed ” nobody in the family is a leftist” in word or intent or by implying]

Then she said : ‘I’m just so confused,’ Debbie said of her grandson’s arrest. ‘[Tyler] is the shyest person,’ she said. ‘He has never, ever spoke politics to me at all.’

And there it is, grandma had no idea as to what Tylers ‘politics’ were.

Never never claimed “she’s never seen him touch a gun” in the interview, in fact, she didn’t mention any ‘gun’ at all.

So,,, someone on X (I mentioned this above) picked this up, changed it to say “Grandmother claims nobody in the family is a leftist and she’s never seen him touch a gun”, and it spread from there as the lie it is.

And heck, even if this killer was right wing and not the far left wing monster he is – its sick and depraved and down right monstrous for the leftist to be celebrating this cold blooded murder and basically worshiping the murderer and calling for even more violence. The did this with Luigi Mangione, more recently with the school shooter killer trans in Minnesota, they did it for the school shooter trans killer in Nashville, they did it for the trantifa mass shooting attack on law enforcement, and have done it many times over the last five years and now doing it for the Charlie Kirk murder, calling for more murder and violence. Even now the democrat politicians are trying to scapegoat this and gaslight the public about it and lying and calling for violence.

OK, this scope thing…

I and another person in a previous comment section had thought the scope arrangement looked weird. Noted also was the front scope ring base hanging over the bolt and I said that was not normal and thought it initially to be some sort of weird DIY drill/tap job to adapt in some way to a scope ring base. I’ve spoken with some people with a Mauser 98 and done some research and reached out to Mauser, this is what I have found out…

Turns out, that scope arrangement is actually a thing for some people and they use it effectively.

This particular rifle has a length of pull that some people do not prefer for scope use.

This particular rifle has scope mounting accommodation for Mausers Hexa-Lock scope rings (which are only for 30 mm Ø tube diameter scopes). But to not use use Mausers Hexa-Lock scope rings and still use the resident screw hole for employing other scope rings it can cause the front scope ring to hang over the bolt like shown in pics of the killers rifle.

As for the scope being so far back, that’s a ‘preferred’ arrangement for some people who find they can not get the fully comfortable cheek weld they prefer while accommodating the length of pull so they move their heads back on the stock some which necessitates moving the scope back some to stay in the eye box and eye relief areas of the scope to match where their cheek weld is.

Its not known exactly where the killer got the rifle, its suspected to have been gotten illegally but not really sure yet.

All the evidence and pieces of the roommates interview are coming out today.
