If you buy a Silencerco can, factory service is free (lifetime warranty).

As far as speed / cumbersomeness of the process, allow me to relate my recent experience:

I went with Dan and Jeremy to the range a couple of weeks ago (they were testing the new Begara rifle that’s reviewed in the previous article), as I needed to test / tune my new Tromix .458 SOCOM upper with a new Silencerco Hybrid 46M can. However, apparently due to a bad ASR mount, the can soon went downrange, yielding multiple baffle strikes and scuffing the heck out of the can as it tumbled across a caliche patch.

Had the folks at Capitol Armory confirm that the threads on the barrel were sufficiently concentric, and that the fault appeared to be in the ARS mount. Got home, went online, filled out the RMA request form. SiCo issued and e-mailed me the RMA within a couple of hours. UPS’d it to SiCo the next day with a copy of the tax stamp.

Silencerco turned it around and shipped it back THE DAY AFTER THEY RECEIVED IT!!!

Got the can back yesterday (FedEx was its usual incompetent self, so delivery took longer than it should have, but that’s not on SiCo). The can is completely refurbished (it looks brand new), with a new ARS mount and muzzle break.

All but one of my cans are from SiCo, and this was the first issue I have ever had with any of them. But if **** happens, their customer service is exceptional.

Easier still, have acting ATF director Kash Patel simply announce the BATF will no longer harass owners of 'wipe' suppressors replacing worn out wipes, the way it was for many, many years? That owners of cans can simply replace damaged baffles and end-caps themselves instead of expensive and cumbersome factory service?
