Initially it was my backup. I’ve shot everything 9mm in every configuration I could find. European, Egyptian, US, ball, swagger, hollow points, +produce, and a few shady looking rounds. Everything fed fine and cycled with no malfunctions. Out to 25 yards I consistently shot what I aimed at. It’s heavy but a good consistent shooting firearm. It’s been sitting on a shelf for a while since my gun days now consist of mainly large caliber bear guns and hunting rifles, but it’s still a pistol I would have no problem picking up and using if it was needed.

This Firestar M43 just looks like an attempt to grasp at the company’s former glory days that rode into the horizon when they discontinued the BM-9 and similar models three decades ago.
