In reply to Nanashi. Compare, IN PERSON, the Rock Island Revolver and the Taurus 85/Roscoe. The RIR is 'rough', LOADED with tool/manufacturing-marks, and surprisingly large-n-blocky (think HiPoint C-9). The wealth of tool marks makes one question the quality of the steel used and RIR QAQC of the RIR. The workmanship of the Taurus is OUTSTANDING! Having several years of full time CC with a T-85 I can report that its QAQC, resistance to corrosion/scratching and 'hardness' is outstanding.

It appears to be a reissue of an early 70s Taurus M85. which is not a bad thing. It should serve and sell well as a Basic affordable/reliable 38 snub with +P capability and better quality/cust.service over the RIA M206 for only a few more $$$.
