I was surprised to see the pictures of shooting varmints off the vehicle, as Wyoming has historically prohibited that, resulting in using tripods or benches. But, I did a little research and was pleased to find the Governor signed legislation making it legal, as of July 1, for taking unprotected, non-game animals from a vehicle.

The recoil from the 5.56 has been known to cause ptsd in progressive socialists.

I do not have the Ranch rifle. I bought the American as my final hunting rifle. In .243. Old age caught up with me and I no longer hunt. But a budget Ruger bolt gun does a far better job than the price would indicate.

Ruger products are worth the price and then some.
