Sportsman’s Guide had this for the best price, so I purchased it. I’ve taken the Python to the range two days in a row, enjoy shooting it and learning the finer details of the revolver platform.

I own this weapon, purchased it from buds. Saved a buttload of money. Houge grips and Wilson combat rear site. Made a big improvement in my shooting technique. Best built pistol I’ve ever owned.

This gun is fantastic and simple. It’s a hammer as well. It’s not a .44 by any stretch, but will pretty much drop anything in your face and not miss a beat.

I own one and it is a great revolver. Possibly better than any revolver out there. I am tired of Wilson combat saying they have the best sites available for that revolver. They are good sites. All I can say is, if it ain’t broke don’t fix it. I put as many as 300 rounds through this gun in one day and it is one fabulous handgun. According to Colt there was no mim parts in it. You can pretty much tell if your looking at it. The trigger and the hammer look like solid stainless steel. It’s a blast to shoot, and maybe a woods carry. Otherwise it’s just a nice gun to own. If you’re a young man, and just want a gun for the rest of your life it’s a very nice gun. If you’re an old man you’re just wasting your money.

I just bought one and it’s fit and finish truly do make it worth the extra $! Although I have owned an old style Python, circa 1979, I have always preferred shooting a Smith & Wesson revolver. But damn, those Colts are sure nice looking, and well worth adopting to the different trigger pull!

Sharp-looking revolver, but I’d be too afraid to ding it up carrying it. Nice to see there is a matte version available, that may look sharp blackened like Dan’s magna-ported SP-101…
