It will take some amazing weapon to replace this on in my waistband.

My LCP Max doesn’t sting my hand like a Thunder. Midwest Joe on the Bersa forum tried Wolff recoil springs for a Walther PP in several different weights. He got 100% reliability with the heaviest one (18 lbs), and said it made the gun comfortable to shoot. I tried it on a Thunder Combat and it made a big difference.

Shot 50+ rounds through each with Lawman 90 grain 380 ball ammo. Results: felt recoil was the same across all three handguns. If someone says the TPR has more recoil it has to be ammo selection NOT the handgun.

I bet it’s got something to do with the diet they put that gun on. Looks like a sizeable percentage of the frame is polymer instead of metal. That’s gonna translate to a nastier *bite*.

The AMT ‘Backup’ in .380 I had years back also had nasty slide-bite. The obvious consequence of that was, it didn’t get shot very often. But being all stainless, I could just slide it in the back pocket of my jeans without fear of damage…
