I was talking to a Toronto homicide squad officer about 2 years ago. During a period of 6 months| a year (I don’t remember exactly), Toronto Police seized 494 handguns during that period. Turned out that exactly 493 had NEVER been registered in Canada. They were all smuggled across the border from the USA. The other one? It turned out to have been stolen in a burglary, and the ex-owner ended up charged with improper storage. All of which goes to show that “gun control” does not bother the criminals. It only bothers the law abiding.
