Nothing says “great idea” like a 21-year-old driving for hours to roll up to one of the most fortified presidential playgrounds in America. But it wasn’t a “hold my beer and watch this” moment. The man breached the perimeter at Mar-A-Lago in Florida while carrying a pump-action shotgun and a can of gas.
Did he think he was auditioning for the world’s worst action movie sequel, or maybe trying to score traffic for his Instagram page?
Either way, Austin Tucker Martin took a road trip to Mar-A-Lago from North Carolina. Along the way he picked up a shotgun and a gas can. Once he arrived at Trump’s property, he zipped through a gate as another car exited…as if the Secret Service detail would miss that. (Side note: All of the blind Secret Service agents are now gone, as well as the ones who can’t walk on a sloped roof, thanks to new management.)
Anyway, Mr. Martin ditched the car and made his way through exclusive compound with the shotgun and the gas. At 1:30 a.m. The only thing missing was a fishing pole. Secret Service told him to drop it and he did. Sort of. He put down the gas can, but then raised the shotgun at the agents. They fired, ending Mr. Martin’s ill-fated mission.
Obviously a lot of people are combing through this guy’s history to see if he was another murderous lunatic or just felony stupid. Either way, he played stupid games and won Darwin Award-level prizes. If Martin thought he was going to be the left’s big hero by assassinating the President, he proved himself to be an utter failure. President Trump and his family weren’t even at Mar-A-Lago at the time.

An armed man was shot and killed by law enforcement in the early hours of the morning Sunday after he unlawfully entered the secure perimeter of President Donald Trump’s Mar-A-Lago estate in Palm Beach, Florida.
The intruder, described as a male in his 20’s, was armed with a shotgun and a fuel can when he attempted to enter the property around 1:30 a.m., Eastern Time. He was then shot and killed by U.S. Secret Service agents and a deputy with the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office (PBSO), according to a press release from the U.S. Secret Service.
No U.S. Secret Service or PBSO personnel were injured as a result of the incident, and no Secret Service protectees present at the location.
“The incident, including the individual’s background, actions, potential motive, and the use of force, is under investigation by the FBI, the U.S. Secret Service, and the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office,” the Secret Service announced. In accordance with agency policy, the agents involved in the shooting were placed on administrative leave pending review.
