He’s absolutely correct. The only reason Democrats are talking about Epstein right now is because they think they can make it a Trump scandal, conveniently forgetting that the reason the Democrats ignored the story for years was because many high-profile Democrats, like former President Bill Clinton, were close associates of Epstein and flew on his plane regularly.

Colbert makes $15-$20 million a year from his contract. Since he took over the show its lost ~75% of its viewer ship, and the guy is not really funny to begin with and basically switched the format to ‘orange man bad’ and in that ~75% of its viewer ship lost almost 75% of that were left wing liberals in the 18-49 age demographic. The show looses over $40 million a year, and Colbert had driven up production costs exceeding $100 million a year, plus they still have to pay Colbert. Late night shows have been declining in viewership over the last five years, but more importantly for these shows financial bottom line is those losses were mostly all in the coveted 18-49 age demographic which is a major critical group for advertisers, and this was also true for the Colbert show and he wasn’t doing anything to keep this viewership intact but instead went on to make it his ‘one man’ soapbox. The show had stopped being ‘entertainment’, had stopped attracting viewers overall, advertisers were loosing money on it because of the loss of the large portion of the viewership 18-49 age demographic, had stopped being ‘relevant’ to audiences, lost touch with its audience and isolated them, and had become a ‘one man’ soapbox costing more to produce than what it was generating, and the network made the decision to cancel it even though they were thinking about doing it last year and had thought about it originally in 2023. But Colbert gets to continue the show into 2026 when his contract expires to make another bundle of millions of $$$.

If flooding the country with three million illegals per year was a wonderful thing, then why weren’t they bragging about it? Why were they pretending that the border was secure until election season when they switched to pretending like they wanted to fix their self-inflicted crisis? There are still a lot of moderate, but ignorant, Democrat voters out there. Dem politicians know they can count on the media to overlook the lies and failures while harping on Orange Man/Republicans Bad. Example: why did a show losing $40 million per year get canceled? Because Trump. Senator Warren is going to investigate it.

Politicians have always been lying, cheating salesmen of themselves. We’ve simply outgrown the need to play coy or pretend we don’t know this.
Passed clean through the “post-truth” era and entered full speed into the “why bother, nobody cares?” era. Next up the “as long as I get mine” era followed by balkanization and war.
