Reddit is a fake website. A multi-billion dollar organization was caught spamming and manipulating the site with a bunch of sock puppets, and corporate’s response was to shut down any mention of the activity. It’s safe to say EVERYTHING on it is astroturf.

In reply to uncommon_sense. Emotional people are not logical enough to realize some of those tools and chemicals could be used to kill them with far less effort. Also some get paid by people who realize lots of people with guns are difficult to control.

The very same apprehension easily applies to all manner of things–power tools, axes, machetes, archery equipment, compressed air containers, chemicals, swimming pools, electrical appliances, etc.

We don’t require training nor licensing to engage with any of those items. Why are firearms different?

I’m a journalism instructor and retired reporter who worked in PR for the Navy. The three day waiting period for posting on social media is whatever for me. I don’t need instant satisfaction. I’ve walked into two suicides where the deceased was bullied online within hours of harming themselves. It may save a few people in crisis.

I don’t like that you can get a smartphone here with zero training, never mind carry with zero training in the state. I was almost trolled a few times by dudes trying to quick draw an iPhone or trying to clear a meme. Uneducated is the most dangerous, in my opinion.
