I’d respond by asking how much they were willing to pay me to join, because that’s the only way I’d ever be a member.

The ABA has been a politicized, left-wing organization for decades, and the vast majority of attorneys want nothing to do with it.

The good news is that the Trump administration and many states now recognize that fact, and are taking steps to strip the ABA of its most powerful position: currently, it’s the only organization that can accredit law schools (and which has led to the ABA wokesters requiring law schools to do all sorts of garbage). That’s going to change, just as the Senate Judiciary Committee no longer requires judicial nominees to submit to ABA vetting.
