“Another Feel Good, Do Nothing Law” that will be struck down. Another waste of SCOTUS time and effort.
Newsom is a waste of air, but like a blood sucking tick, the good people of California can’t seem to get rid of him. Maybe the eliminating of illegals from California’s voting rolls would help.

Yet another law.
Politicians at all levels just love to enact yet another law. We now have so many laws that a prosecutor can throw a veritable book of charges at a criminal for the simplest of offenses in hopes that something will stick.
As it applies to this article, no doubt California knows this new law will be challenged in court but they don’t care because they know it will take years to adjudicate and by then they will have yet more laws to apply. Eventually something will stick just from sheer repetition.
