Locking up criminals equals less crimes and less victims.

Not happening.

1. Modern Democrats have actively worked against traditional law and order.

2. Criminals are their people. They would prefer to stick it to the other team (lawful gun owners).

Remember that it isn’t about solving problems (other than more money and power). It’s about politics. You’ll never convince them by using logic. You have to degrade their sources of power and put them in the corner.
