the show was loosing millions and cost a lot more to produce than it was bringing in, and the ratings were actually in the toilet and they had over time lost a key demographic for advertisers, and advertisers had grown to dislike Kimmel before this happened because he went more ‘woke’. So from a business aspect, it was probably just a matter of time, probably right after the first of 2026 but maybe sooner that ABC would have pulled the plug anyway. Kimmel did it for them.

They just need to burn down a few businesses, assault a few elderly people and vandalize some art to win back the hearts and minds.
It’s amazing that a movement predicated on the canonization of a repeat offender, drug addict, woman beating loser ever gained traction in the first place.

Kimmel spoke, no government entity infringed it when he did.

ABC spoke, no government entity infringed it.

ABC speech was exercised with their right to terminate programming for misconduct and false statements.

Kimmel’s speech was exercised with his false information and he found out that a company for what ever reason does not need to tolerate lies and dishonesty from an employee.

The first amendment worked just like it was suppose to…no government entity infringed the speech of either ABC or Kimmel.

Kimmel forced Kimmel to take Kimmel off air. When Kimmel made his false comment, ABC spent hours with him trying to get him to retract it because it was for a fact false. If he would just retract it, it would be fine. But in the meanwhile phone calls of complaint started pouring in to ABC affiliate stations. So the two distributors to the ABC affiliates wanted something done and Kimmel to retract the false remarks. Instead Kimmel planned to double down and further attack MAGA in his next airing. ABC found out about it and decided to put the plug and the two distributors had already said they would not air the show any longer.

That’s why Kimmel is off air…Kimmel took Kimmel off air.
