Maybe they saw the signs about guns and that is what they went in after. My $ 0.02 is that you do not advertise that you are armed. Guns are a high value item on the black market (I suspect), and would be easily sold.

It is not. I live in the very liberal bay area and everybody I know has a gun. It is amazing how many guns there are here.

CA is like mexico. It is a broken and failed state with a corrupt and out of touch .gov. Everything is illegal here. As a result nobody obeys the law. Including the gun laws. You could not function here on a day to day basis if you followed the rules and regs.

It is a sad state of affairs but until a good cleansing hits the halls of .gov nothing will change.

Of all the gun laws in California, one would think that finding a house with guns would be rare.

according to the linked article it says “… the homeowners did not fire any weapons during the incident” but it sure sounded a little like weapons fire in the surveillance video.

They fled, free to home invade another day because the cops are probably not going to catch them. They are all covered up and facial recognition might not work, they are wearing what looks like maybe cold weather or work gloves so no finger prints. If that same situation had happened here at a minimum at least one of the bad guys was going to the hospital or morgue with several rounds in him.
