How about a National Reciprocity Law! I live in VA and used to live in the DMV. I avoid DC simply because I have to leave my pistol at home just to go there. Many times I’m around the DMV and I ‘go the long way’ and skip businesses and restaurants in DC or on the border simply because I’m carrying.

When I got my Maryland CC permit, I was also going to get my DC license, but they required an in-person visit on a tight schedule with parking nearby difficult at best and if you’re slightly late you have to reschedule….. Decided just to stay in Maryland due to the almost impossible rules DC also applies: No more than 10 bullets, felony offense for each bullet over 10, as well as the difficulty in carrying anywhere I’d want to go.

In reply to LifeSavor. Its not illegal to print 'Federal gun permits' or present them or pass them out in any context as long as you do not 'counterfeit' (an actual document, including altering), present, or portray them as an actual government document or legal instrument.
