We wrote about how Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) played schoolyard games Saturday by forcing the Senate clerk to read the over 900-page-plus “One Big Beautiful Bill” out loud for 16 straight hours in a bid to delay the proceedings. Well it didn’t work, Chuck, because the measure passed the Senate Tuesday by a tie 50-50 vote broken by Vice President JD Vance.

It now goes back to the House, where unless things go seriously off the rails, a final bill will pass and head to President Trump’s desk.

Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-Cheeseburgers) is a small, petty man, whose last swipe at President Donald Trump over the One Big Beautiful Bill as it narrowly passed the Senate on Tuesday was to strip it of the name by which everyone knows it. Because, as the world already knew, Schumer doesn’t think the bill is beautiful. Yet for all of Schumer’s shallow and self-righteous grandstanding, Senate Republicans should take a page from his book. He couldn’t overcome the Republican majority on this bill, but he has been successful in initiatives to undermine the bill. Republicans were never this effective when they were in the minority.

Fox News reported when the Senate was just about to pass the One Big Beautiful Bill, Schumer ‘raised a point of order’ in order to object to wording in the opening lines of the bill, where it said: ‘SHORT TITLE. This Act may be cited as the ‘One Big Beautiful Bill Act.’ Schumer claimed that this violated the Byrd Rule, that is, Section 313 B1A of the Congressional Budget Act of 1974, which forbids legislation from containing material that is ‘extraneous to the purpose of implementing budget resolution policies.’ …” (for example, the ‘extraneous to the purpose of implementing budget resolution policies’ stuff the democrats have been adding to reconciliation bills for years to fund fraud and waste and abuse and DEI and illegal aliens and pet-social programs in their districts and their ‘pork barrel’ projects)

In another big win for President Donald Trump and another devastating loss for the propaganda press, Paramount — parent company of CBS News — has agreed to an eight-figure settlement with the president over 60 Minutes’ cheap fake pre-election interview with Kamala Harris.

Paramount will make a $16 million contribution to Trump’s future presidential library and cover the plaintiffs’ attorneys fees, CBS News was forced to report late Tuesday. Fox News Digital reported that the settlement could ultimately reach more than $30 million to settle Trump’s election interference complaint against the broadcast news network.

The CBS News story was quick to note that neither Trump nor the co-plaintiff, Rep. Ronny Jackson, R-Texas, ‘will be directly paid as part of the settlement.’
