After a Bad Weekend, the Trump Administration Cleans Up Its Messaging on Gun Rights
“The president supports the Second Amendment rights of law-abiding American citizens absolutely.”
“The president supports the Second Amendment rights of law-abiding American citizens absolutely.”
As for the good director’s comment, in which he said no one who wants to be peaceful shows up armed, most everyone I know is always armed. And to a man, or woman, we are all extremely peaceful.
In the aftermath of the shooting, multiple Trump administration officials said peaceful protesters do not carry firearms with them.
“Isn’t it time for the media, which has for too long accepted rhetoric from the gun ban crowd as gospel, to start questioning what they are hearing from people who are determined to erase the Second Amendment?”
The same institutions pushing global disarmament narratives always work their way down to the civilian level, using “international norms” as the wedge to attack private gun ownership.
“We’re happy to say grassroots activism pushed the suppressor (tax) repeal across the finish line. One of the frustrating things about legislators is they just give you little bits, but not everything you’re asking for.”
A right you’re afraid to exercise — or defend — doesn’t stay a right for long.
The Chavistas outlawed private gun ownership back in 1990. They claimed the gun grab was intended to “improve security and cut crime.”
The DOJ’s brief also holds the Federal Switchblade Act really isn’t a ban because the law only regulates the “configuration and mode of a switchblade’s opening.”
Cornerstone to the anti-gun agenda has long been deflecting blame to others for the crimes of bad actors. The “others” will continue to be firearm makers, gun shops, the NRA, gun owners, and 2A supporters.
