Because the consequences won’t be suffered by them. They will toddle along just fine, bilking the taxpayers and having their government-supported security. The folks who have lived in NY their whole lives, and just happen to be employed by Remington Arms or one of their suppliers or supporting businesses will get f*cked, but why would any idiot NY legislator give a flying fornication about that?? Some will probably move to GA, but many more can’t/won’t, and I feel for them, but . . . you get the government you vote for.
