Per Disney: The decision to suspend him was to keep Kimmel from further inflaming the situation. They took him off while people mourned. Kimmel’s coming back tomorrow. They had to treat him like a child because that’s what he is.

…And Kimmel’s show is already coming back. Boohoo. He was suspended for an entire week. Now what’s the Left going to cry about? Back to fascism?

They didn’t strong arm ABC into firing Kimmel. The FCC head made an inappropriate comment about Kimmel’s license while on a podcast. That was dumb. Kimmel was going to get suspended regardless. Major affiliates dropping the show had nothing to do with the FCC’s comment. Disney had to do something at that point.

If Colbert was number one in the segment among NBC, ABC, and CBS, and Colbert’s show was losing tens of millions every year, then how much profit was Kimmel’s show bringing in? I assume he had to be losing money as well. ABC was probably looking for an excuse to save some money. The late night comedy talk shows have been dead for years. I didn’t find Kimmel funny in the pre-TDS era. He’s even worse now, crying about elections and talking about political assassinations with no punchline. These shows became propaganda outlets.

If the FCC strongarmed ABC to fire Kimmel, then that’s wrong [I don’t know if they did or not…]. The FCC certainly could have filed a notice of violation of policies to ABC and handled it via “normal” channels. But this was pretty quick.

But but but Obama/Biden is a child’s argument.

The real argument is “The Left cheered for the assassination of a civilian, as well as the attempted assassination of a former President. The Left cheered when a CEO was murdered in cold blood. If you aren’t condemning the violence WTF is wrong with you?”
