They are available in both 110mm (the same size as a standard clay bird) and 90mm (like midis). The 110mm colors are UFO (glow-in-the-dark), stealth drone (black) and Hi-viz orange.
While many “tactical” stores are awash in black, FDE, and Ranger Green, 5.11 offers a variety of colors across many of its products.
The purpose of having armed staff isn’t to replace police or EMTs, but to have on-site personnel who have been trained and have the tools they need to stop active killers and render medical aid.
The true test came when I wore them to the range. That’s when I realized I may have found the perfect pair of pants.
I can’t express how much I learned at GRPC. Not only from the presenters, but also by talking to people in the hallways and at the evening events.
Oftentimes, people paint firearm owners in a particular light, usually not all that flattering. But in fact, you’re going to find people who are more accepting of those with diverse viewpoints and beliefs than you could’ve ever imagined.
Over the years, I’ve owned a few pairs of boots apparently designed for a woman’s foot, but honestly, I’m not sure which woman. These weren’t comfortable. I didn’t get my hopes up for the Garmont Tactical’s T8 Athena boots, but boy, was I surprised.
Owning a firearm for personal protection doesn’t just stop once you get it home. You owe it to yourself, your family and society to acquire the training needed to properly handle and successfully deploy that firearm should the need arise.
